Celebrity Sighting at the Cup

No, it wasn't Alan Webb, the official starter, nor was it AHS graduate & ACC Freshman of the Year, Anthony Kostelac. Yes, it was... Schmitty!

Roster Update

The roster has been updated to include results of the Cup, and any changes to the individual PRs. Incidently, the AHS boys had 30 PRs yesterday at Panorama Farms. Great job by everyone!

Photos of The Cup

I will be posting individual photos from the Cup over the next week, to fill the space between meets. Meanwhile, if you would like to view the entire 354 photo collection, tap the link at the bottom of the post. I tried to get everybody that ran in at least one photo, but some did not turn out so well. I will do better at FUMA next week. If anyone has photos they are willing to share, please let me know.

First Place Team

It has been eight years since the Cup has been lifted by the men in Red, White & Blue. Congratulations on setting the meet record!

Individual Honor For Adam Visokay

The intent of this blog is to promote the entire team, more so than any one individual. Everyone, whether he is the #1 or #57 runner, is important to the overall success of the team. That being said, when an individual from the AHS cross country team is singled out for an honor, most notably as a scholar athlete, it reflects on his family, teammates and coaches in a favorable manner. The August 2011 Valley Honda Scholar Athlete of the month is Senior Captain Adam Visokay.

Yet Another Pre-Season Poll

Yeah, it is getting old this early in the season, but just thought everyone might like to know AHS boys secured a number two ranking in the SouthEast Region from Rob "Watchout" Monroe. He is the guy that also does the Powerade Fab50.

Congratulations Men!

Congratulations to the whole team as AHS took the Ragged Mountain Cup for the first time since 2003, and doing it in record fashion. Kudos also to the girls, as their victory secured the first ever AHS sweep of the Cup. Tons of photos were taken, and they will be uploaded in the next couple days. Meanwhile, here are the links to the press accounts of the race.
