Last year as a States newbie, I purchased the online tickets from the VHSL. Last year's website said you could avoid the lines and enter through the pass gate. What I found was that, in relation to where we were directed to park, the pass gate was on the other side of the complex. We waited in line with those making cash ticket purchases, e-tickets accepted there too. No real advantage that I could see to purchasing beforehand, except it was a credit/debit card purchase instead of cash. The good parking fills up early, so don't be late. The online site does allow you to contribute an extra dollar to support the VHSL (as if going up two bucks on the ticket price doesn't already help the cause).
